Light infantry, originally raised from local farmers and woodsmen, who served during the Spanish Reconquista in the 13th and 14th centuries. Their name comes from the Arabic for "bandit" as they were irregular forces, although the name eventually was applied to peasant light infantry serving throughout the Iberian peninsular and as mercenaries in foreign wars.
This sprue lets you arm them with spears, javelins, swords or cleavers.
